The collapsing US military & economic empire is making Washington & NATO even more dangerous. US could not beat the Taliban but thinks it can take on China-Russia-Iran...a sign of psychopathology for sure. We must all do more to help stop this western corporate arrogance that puts the future generations lives in despair. @BruceKGagnon

Airshows Recruit Our Kids for Endless War

The U.S. government is using airshows to manipulate children to think that war and violence is fun and glorious.

In this video see Iraq war veteran Michael Hanes who enters a San Diego airshow and reveals the extent of indoctrination of the kids by the military.

This story makes me remember Tom Sturtevant from Maine who passed away some years ago.  He was a leader in Maine Veterans For Peace and had been a former high school teacher.  Tom's top issue was military recruitment so when these airshows came to the former Brunswick Naval Air Station Tom was always involved in the organizing of protests at the base.

Since the 'Great Maine Air Show' is coming to Brunswick in August we urge you to share this video widely.

We will be holding a protest at the airshow in Brunswick, Maine on Saturday, August 26 from 9:00 am to noon.

What's the difference between a Military Recruiter and a College Athletics Recruiter?
The college recruiter can't legally go on a high school campus...

There were two resolutions, mirrors of each other, at the UN in the early days of the Reagan Regime... The General Assembly passed it but GA can't enforce much... But they can't be vetoed by the U.S. The Security Council veto of the resolution to Ban Children From Combat... was delivered by of all people Shirley Temple Black. The reasons were because "the military needs to send recruiters to elementary schools to show the kids (I'm paraphrasing here) the opportunities of the Military as a career, JROTC prepares the future soldiers, and it would ban Boy Scouts".

Every time I hear or read some well known War proponents, and really not just the chickenhawks, decrying the militias in Africa (usually) using child soldiers, I have an urge to simultaneously laugh, cry and barf.

The rationale which doesn't get much play is pubescent boys are at an emotional state that's really exploitable for religious, sports and team sport activities And war. They don't have the same social ethics nor a working survival instinct. Drop the age to 5-8 age group, the children's largest fear is being mocked by their peers and the next is their parents dying. Perfect storm for indoctrination. Dave Wilkerson, founder of Teen Challenge, when he first started out he slept in his car the first night in Spanish Harlem, and got a lecture from his new congregation, that the most dangerous kids were the most dangerous, for the reasons stated above.

Later in the narrative he, a few years later, met two of his first gang-member converts wearing army uniforms, and he was happy about it. I don't see the difference other than the overlaying chain-of-command in the Army being longer than the chain of command in a local militia/gang and a lot less personal. Guess it's an ethics thing, and Pastor Davy has some 'splaining to do with God.
