The collapsing US military & economic empire is making Washington & NATO even more dangerous. US could not beat the Taliban but thinks it can take on China-Russia-Iran...a sign of psychopathology for sure. We must all do more to help stop this western corporate arrogance that puts the future generations lives in despair. @BruceKGagnon

A Strategy of Peace

Many believe this speech by JFK was one of the reasons he was killed.  The speech called for disarmament - something that the CIA and the corporate oligarchs who rule the US were not at all happy to hear.

He was sending a message then to the USSR that he wanted to move out of the Cold War.  Today Washington has moved us back into one with Russia.

JFK showed tremendous courage making this speech because he knew that he was putting his life on the line by suggesting peaceful accommodation with the former Soviet Union.

On this Memorial Day let us remember JFK, a man who intimately knew war, but rejected the military as a solution to world problems.

I believe that since the killing of JFK the CIA and corporate oligarchy make sure that no one gets into the White House unless they have been fully 'vetted'.  Thus our string of Johnson-Nixon-Carter-Reagan-Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama as president all indicate to me that these 'ambitious men without strong core beliefs' were put in place because they would gladly serve as puppets for the real power.  Since JFK the oligarchy takes no chances - so they run a horse in both Republican and Democrat races.

That's why Hillary is their current top choice for the next round - the oligarchy will remain in complete control but Hillary will help neutralize many women and 'progressive' activists as Obama has done on the way to endless global war and austerity at home.

Watching the oligarchies in Ukraine closely for the past year has given me a new way of looking at the corporate oligarchy here in the US.  We often don't see what is right in front of our faces....
